Material
Crowns can be made from various materials, with full ceramics being a popular choice these days. This material is known for its natural appearance and excellent durability. Within full ceramics, there are various gradations in strength and aesthetics, allowing us to determine which type of ceramic will provide the best result for each situation.
Because we are not tied to specific materials or techniques, we can always offer a custom solution that is both functionally and aesthetically optimal.
PROCEDURE;
The dentist assesses the situation and draws up a treatment plan together with us. The patient then comes to our laboratory, where we discuss the options, take professional digital oral photographs and perform an extensive colour analysis. We also take dental impressions of the current situation.
For treatments involving multiple front teeth, we make a trial set-up of dental wax. This set-up, which is ready a few weeks later, gives the patient a realistic image of the new tooth position. In many cases, this trial set-up can also be placed in the mouth, so that the expected end result can be assessed even better.
If the patient agrees, the dentist carefully prepares the teeth. The moulds from the trial set-up are used to ensure that exactly enough, but not too much, tooth material is ground down. These moulds also serve as a basis for temporary emergency crowns.
Based on all the data collected, we manufacture the final artisanal ceramic crowns and bridges with the utmost precision. This carefully coordinated process ensures a durable, functional and aesthetically optimal result.
