As a child, I wore braces and at that time a healthy molar was extracted to make room for another. In my case, this meant that I no longer had a nice arch in my upper teeth; instead, there was a kind of angle. When this really started to bother me, my dentist applied composite here and there to improve the appearance. At first, I was satisfied, but as I got older, my teeth also became discolored, so there was a clear difference between the teeth and molars with and without composite. With all the new techniques and publications in recent years, it was time to do something about it.
I started searching for an aesthetic dentist myself and ended up in a chair where the dentist very casually said he could grind down all my teeth and put veneers on them. All I had to do was choose the color, and he would decide the rest of the appearance of my teeth. I was shocked by this—grinding down perfectly good teeth in my case, as if it was nothing. I absolutely did not want this.
I searched online and came across many sites, but the Esthetic Dental Team website immediately appealed to me, and I thoroughly explored it. What appealed to me most was the direct contact with the dental technician himself, the person who would actually make the veneers. You can directly communicate your wishes and also what you absolutely do not want; there was clear consultation with each other.
I was quite a difficult and demanding patient because I kept doubting whether I really wanted to go through with this. In the end, I took the step and the veneers were placed. The result is stunning and beautiful. I am very happy with it and am always surprised that no one actually notices—which is exactly what I wanted.
The dentist who placed the veneers was very pleased that they fit perfectly; he didn’t have to do anything else to them. He said you don’t see that often. He also thought they were very professionally made and of excellent material.

A complete dental rehabilitation.
Since my adolescence, I had weak teeth with many fillings, worn crowns, and a poor bite.
Now, over 60, I have a radiant set of teeth, well aligned and functional—something I could only dream of in the past.
And they are my own teeth, no dentures!

Miracles do not exist, but there are top dental technicians and top dentists with expertise, knowledge of aesthetics, and patient care. From experience, I know that 'finding' such specialists is not easy.

An initial introductory meeting with EDT Floris Schaap in August 2013, the last elements placed by dentist de Virgiliis in December 2014.
Treatments ranged from root canal treatments to gum transplants, the placement of bridges, crowns, inlays, onlays, and veneers for 26 elements with bite elevation!
That may sound dramatic, but I underwent the consultations and treatments with patience and trust; the explanations and progress were always very encouraging. How all the elements fit and how the appearance, shape, and color improve is amazing.

In summary: the skills of and my experiences with EDT, Floris Schaap, and Ronald Mak are top-notch.

The referral to and treatments performed by dentist Christiaan de Virgiliis of Mondzorg Huizen could not have been better.
For me, an absolutely top team, highly recommended for Mondzorg.
